I will be analysing this advert by LIAR (Language, Industry, Audience and Representation).
For Language, Grubhub have used a song in the background 'Soy yo', which is an energetic song to pair with the energetic dancing in this advert. This is used to portray the happiness behind this company and the happiness when someone buys food from them and wanting to dance when you have their food. Also, the man, child and other people all have smiles on their faces and dance passionately throughout the advert but get progressively happier as the food comes as it would be for anyone ordering from their company, showing the general emotions of a generic customer.
For Industry, Grubhub are involved in the Food Ordering Market and are based in America and are owned by Just Eat, therefore have the same concept as them but serve in America as a pose to the United Kingdom. They haven't done as well as the UK's Just Eat as this specific video has a higher dislike to like ratio from 17 million views (292k to 598k) and they have a lot of competitors, like GoPuff, Freshly, Uber Eats and more.
For Audience, Grubhub targets people of all age groups as it starts with hungry diners in their area to be able to get quick food sent to them in hard circumstances but also people who want food delivered anytime, anywhere (breakfast, lunch or dinner). This is shown through the advert as they have made it fun and cartoon-based to appeal to a younger audience to make it memorable but they use people of all ages getting involved to show that anyone can buy from them and there is no limits when using Grubhub.
For Representation, Grubhub uses multiple different people ranging from young ages to middle ages and are both genders to show their inclusion. There is not any specific parts showing class, but that could be because they are cheap in comparison to competitors, therefore, class should not be a major issue for them, which will be the same for, disability, regionalism, ethnicity and sexuality.
